How I knew it was Homer by Marge Hefty (Introduction to Partnering with Spirit: Homers Journey) |

Homer grew up on a farm in Wisconsin and was always interested in geology, so he obtained a mining engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin in Platteville. From recently going through all his papers and books, I have been reminded of how he was always studying something he found interesting. All his life Homer continued his education in many subjects. It is interesting that metaphysical information about the after life always drew him like a magnet. After our marriage, we attended Silva Mind Development, took Bible study courses, and eventually discovered the American Society of Dowsers, becoming active in the Tucson Chapter, which helped us develop our intuition. Homer and I became interested in finding water well sites all over southwestern Arizona and did this for many years. We continued our spiritual development with the Nine Gates Mystery School. During the last 15 years, Homer worked with the cubit (based on the Great Pyramid measurements) and made energy rods and walking sticks to increase a persons energy when holding them - verified by dowsing the energy field of the aura. My aura got used to being tested as he perfected his work. Therefore, when Margaret Mott called me to say that on Thursday, April 10th, she had put my name into a prayer circle (since Homer had died 12 days before), it didnt shock me that he showed up or that Ellie was able to communicate with him. In fact, when Ellie added that Homer said he would recharge one of his energy rods because it was getting low on energy (for one of the circle members who attended that night who had purchased one), and that it would be done by the time she got home, I knew this was Homer. Homer had never met Ellie; we didn't know her at all, so I knew that this wasn't made up out of thin air.
In meeting Ellie for the first time in a coffee shop, we were getting acquainted and talking about many things, when Homer came and answered questions through Ellie. I mentioned that he had been in a coma three weeks (medically induced) and I wondered why. Of course, I know that sometimes why cannot be answered. Anyhow, he stated he had been out of his body during that time, making preparations to go to the other side. Also, when the time came to die, he wasnt in his body and could hear us talking in the room. Evidently, he was with Charlie (a mutual friend who was there at the time) and me when he stopped breathing. I asked him if he had gone to the Light, and he said he hadn't needed to do that. Friends and relatives came to greet him, but after doing that for awhile it became boring, so everyone went back to what they had been doing. It sounded so Homer that, again, I knew it was him. For the last year before he died, Homer could not walk long distances, and he knew it would help us both to get out and walk in the mornings, at least a mile or more. So I believe it was in June that Ellie called and gave me the message from Homer about walking. Homer had told her that I needed to be in good physical condition to do the work ahead of me. He told me to walk and that he would walk with me. Again, this was information Ellie couldn't have known, and it was truly Homer with a message for me. So we have been walking just about every morning since. In Arizona, during the summer, this makes me get up at 4:30 or 5:00 a.m. to walk while it is cool. Since Homer was the early riser, I have been accusing him of messing with my inner time clock! I have been giving copies of the Homer writings to many people,
one of whom is Gay Luce from the Nine Gates Mystery School (www.ninegates.com), who
knew Homer and me. Gay came to Tucson to visit with Homer when
he was sick and close to going into hospice care, and it meant
a lot to him to have her come by. Anyhow, this is what she said
after reading the Homer writings. Carla Woody, an author and close personal friend, even took some of the first Homer writings and included them in her book, Standing Stark. In her book Carla went on to say, Did I have any doubts that the originator of these messages was indeed Homer? None. How otherwise could particular words and style of speaking that I recognized as Homers come through a woman who never knew him during his life on the material plane? I wonder sometimes what I would have done if I hadn't had this information from the other side. It has helped me immensely with my grief in knowing there is more to life. We all have a faith to help us through these transitions when someone dies. For me, the messages have been a great help in knowing that there is life after life. These events have helped many friends, as well as the people in my Hospice Grief Group. I am drawing emotional strength from these stories and hope they will help many others. I know our friends and relatives are wanting to know more. Marge Hefty |
